ARTISTS HELP!

sooooooooooo i am trying to branch out into oil paints, but if any of you know about oil paints you know there is ALOT of different ways to go about this!

what “oil” / medium (like linseed oil etc) do you use? i went to the art store today and not only is there linseed oil, poppy oil, generic thinner, and about half a dozen other things to consider but they each have 2 or 3 variations…AHHHH! so complex!

i am just looking for any kind of help i can get, i have youtubed and googled my little fingers off, but it just varies sooooo much!

if you guys could fill me into some of your successes that would really help!
